Hello!
Just suggesting an idea to addon

Change thread number. Example:
/ forum / threads / 129 /
on
/ forum / threads / 111 /

What is it for:
If I have an old forum and there are external links to a deleted topic on the forum, then in this way I can make the external link not broken, just filling this new topic with appropriate content.

Sorry for my English...
Thank you!

(i am not the developer)

changing thread ids seems like a very dangerous path to take. your issue is fairly common and can easily be resolved with htaccess redirects. though i am not sure if HTA is the route to take if you are talking about hundreds or thousands of links. i also remember seeing an addon that enabled redirects from the backend... not sure if it still exists. that kind of addon makes more sense. to lower reliance on htaccess files in case there are large number of redirects required.

How many of these threads did you want to do this to?

100-300 threads.
Earlier I did this through nginx.
But a 301 redirect can only be redirected - the content will not match!
Тhe addon makes a new topic and then renames it (if this possible), there is no risk, because there are no answers (empty).
Then this topic can be supplemented and developed.
