GoDaddy DNS help for VPS

This thread explains how to change the DNS at GoDaddy if you have a VPS. These custom nameservers are set to a domain that you control.

Go to GoDaddy.

https://www.godaddy.com/

Log in.

Click your username to display the drop down menu and click My Products link.

Scroll down to see each domain you manage, click DNS on the domain you want to update.

Click the Hostnames tab.

Click the Add hostnames button.

Host = ns1
IP address = Main IP Address

Click the Save button.

Click the Add button.

Host = ns2
IP address = Secondary IP

Click the Save button.

Click the Nameservers tab.

Click the Change Nameservers

Add the two nameservers as shown below.

In the example below, replace domain.com with your own domain

Click the Save button.

Once you make the changes to your GoDaddy DNS, you can monitor the propagation using one of these websites:

https://www.whatsmydns.net/

https://dnschecker.org/
