Install Java and Elasticsearch

Andy

Administrator
Here's how I installed Elasticsearch on my Centos dedicated server.

From the terminal issue the following three commands:

yum clean all
yum --showduplicate list elasticsearch
yum install elasticsearch-7.0.0-x86_64.rpm

Once Elasticsearch 7 is installed you will need to do the following command assuming you have Elasticsearch 6 still running:

systemctl daemon-reload

Then to start Elasticsearch issue the following command:

service elasticsearch start

You can verify the Elasticsearch 7 is running with this command:

curl -XGET 'localhost:9200'
